Problem Possible Cause Possible Solution
Blade stuck in the closed position Blade hitting the head bushing Re-Install head bushing; See “Bushing Installation”
Blade return spring worn or broken Remove and replace worn or broken blade return spring; See “Replacement Parts”
Material not feeding properly Belt feed not adjusted correctly Re-adjust belt feed tension; See “Unit Operation”
Blade stuck in the closed position See above PROBLEM (this table): “Blade stuck in the closed position”
Improper size bushings Send in sample material to Eraser for proper bushing sizing
Uneven Dereeler tension Make certain dereeler is functioning properly
Display not functioning Unit not powered up Make sure unit is plugged in & switched on
Blown fuse Replace with recommended fuse; See “Replacement Parts” NOTE: If fuse blows more than once, contact factory.
Incorrect voltage supplied Make certain the incoming voltage is correct and is not being influenced by large equipment connected to the same circuit
Poor quality of cut or no cut Dull or chipped blades See “Blade Change/Adjustment Procedure”
Blade depth needs to be increased Increase the blade depth. See “Blade Change/Adjustment Procedure”. Also see “Bushing Installation”
Improper Cut Speed Reduce or increase Cut Rate; See “Programming Batches”
Improper Cut Time Increase Cut Time; See “Programming Batches”
Head bushing not installed correctly Re-Install head bushing; See “Bushing Installation”
Inconsistent cut lengths Uneven Dereeler tension At high feed speeds, a power assisted dereeler is recommended
Belt feed tension is loose Tighten the belt feed adjusting knob clockwise to increase tension
Improper size bushings Send in sample material to Eraser for proper bushing sizing
