Machinist

Description: Responsible for machining materials to company specifications while utilizing standard labor times.

Responsibilities:

  • Machine products & materials according to blueprints, process sheets and ISO 9001 inspection standards.
  • Achieve proper tolerances using skill and knowledge of machinery and tools.
  • Ensure overall product quality through QA and in process inspection.
  • Meet target labor time standards for machined items.
  • Troubleshoot problems and determine working solutions in order to complete tasks.
  • Recommend new ideas/processes to Manufacturing Engineer, Plant Mgr. or Engineering Mgr.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by management.
  • Occasional overtime may be required as business needs dictate.

Educational requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent education and experience.
  • School program background a plus

Experience requirements:

  • 2-3 years machining experience including CNC lathes, Manual lathes, Mills, CNC HAAS, CNC Omni Turns and Drill press experience preferred.

Desired Skills:

  • Well organized including attention to detail.
  • Good communication.
  • Blueprint reading and mechanical ability.
  • Solid use of all relevant precision measuring tools (indicators, micrometers, calipers, gages, etc.).
  • Advanced math skills (geometry and trigonometry).

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a team environment with members of varying skill levels.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Learns quickly.

  • Frequently using fingers and hands to make small movements such as using screw drivers and wrenches, assembling products, picking up and carrying small items.

Product Support Specialist I

Description: PSS I is responsible for revenue generation in the repair department and support of all sales efforts. They are responsible for assessing (determining) customer needs and recommending the appropriate product or solution to meet those needs in a timely manner. PSS I will assess troubleshoot and repair customer equipment. PSS I will provide technical support to our Manufacturers Reps, Distributors and end users.

Responsibilities:

  • Machine process sample material including time study to determine appropriate processing method for customer application (needs) adhering to ISO procedures and policies.
  • Recommend various equipment option(s) based on customer criteria/needs.
  • Quote application and pricing for customer according to company procedures.
  • Communicate directly with customers for technical clarification of specifications/requirements.
  • Assist customers with product issues including trouble shooting, application setups & technical information.
  • Update customer resource management systems keeping Product Support Specialists II informed as appropriate
  • Collaborate with Product Support Specialist II / Engineering Manager on unique applications.
  • Maintain lab equipment to “as new” standards by cleaning & ordering new parts when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area on a daily basis.
  • Inspect and test products (machines) for trade shows and attend trade shows when needed.
  • Review and suggest product manual updates during product application testing/review.
  • Provide product training and assist in writing/ reviewing training material.
  • Participate actively as a member of the New Product Development Team.
  • Provide backup support to Product Support Specialist II.
  • Troubleshoot and repair of defective customer equipment while providing direct customer interface during the repair process (including price and delivery information).
  • Direct marketing of repair maintenance programs as they are developed and implemented.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by management.
  • Must be capable / willing to travel in order to support sales efforts.

Educational requirements:

  • Associate Degree OR High School Diploma with related work experience OR 1-3 years Sales experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Experience requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year work-related experience
