Eraser’s Model BTS1 Thermal Wire Stripper is a bench mounted thermal stripper for solid and stranded wire and cables up to 1/2″ OD (12.7mmø). The temperature of the stripping elements is variable up to 1400°F (760°C). The unit has an adjustable strip length stop from 0 to 1-1/2″ (38mm) and has a self-contained fume extraction system. The optional 90° element kit is available to provide infinite strip length or window stripping.

Series Information

Thermal wire strippers from the Eraser Company are used to remove the insulation from wire and small cables through the use of heated stripping elements.

Model BTS1 is a bench mounted thermal stripper for material up to one half inch OD. The temperature of the stripping elements is variable, up to 1,400 degrees Fahrenheit. This unit has an adjustable strip length stop for up to one and a half inches and has a self-contained fume extraction system. The optional 90-degree element kit is available to provide infinite strip lengths. Also available is an optional foot pedal for hands-free activation.

The HTS1C includes handheld models featuring a small and lightweight handpiece with a cradle switch activation. The stripping element temperatures are variable up to 1,100 degrees Fahrenheit. Eraser’s thermal strippers can be used on a variety of installations, but are especially effective on installations such as PTFE and Teflon.
